Fortnite recently announced a console only tournament with a total prize pool of $250,000.
Fortnite recently revealed a blog post announcing the Console Champions Cup. This is the first installment of a seasonal console only Fortnite tournament. The tournament will be held across all regions for console players only and the total prize pool is $250,000.
Previously we had Fortnite tournaments specific to certain console users but a separate tournament with all console users is a first. Fortnite console players have been asking for a separate tournament for the longest time even and their prayers have finally been answered. There will be more platform exclusive tournaments in the future according to the blog post but their dates have not been determined yet.

Schedule:
The Fortnite Console Champions Cup will be held from start on May 14th and run till May 16th. The actual timings of the tournament will be provided in-game under the compete tab.
Below are the dates of the tournament for each region.
1. May 13: Round 1 [Middle East]
2. May 14: Round 1 [All Regions Except Middle East]
3. May 14: Round 2 and Round 3 [Middle East]
4. May 15: Round 4 [Middle East]
5. May 15: Round 2 and Round 3 [All Regions Except Middle East]
6. May 16: Round 4 [All Regions Except Middle East]
Eligibility:
To participate in Console only tournament you need to-
- Participate on an eligible console (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch)
- Grab two friends to round out your Trio
- Make sure you and your teammates reach Champion League in Arena, have 2FA enabled on their account, and have an Epic Account level 30
Format:
The Console Champions Cup will be played in a Trios format. Every participating member of a trio will have to reach Champion League in Arena in their respective region before the tournament starts.
The tournament will take place over 4 rounds. Each round will run for approximately 3 hours and participants can play up to 10 matches to earn points. At the end of each round, the top placing teams will move on to the next round. The top placing teams at the end of round 4 will be eligible for the prize. The format is similar to the FNCS Qualifiers.
