T1 recently announced that Faker would be taking a break due to health complications.
The topic of Faker taking a break has been a big talking point in the League of Legends Esports scene ever since it was announced. Just before the July 5th T1 VS DRX match, T1 announced that Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok would not be participating in the match.
According to a post made by the official T1 Twitter page, Faker would be taking a break from the Esports scene due to health complications. The player has been dealing with pain in his right arm since June 17th, and the situation has not improved. Fortunately, X-Ray and MRI results have not revealed any major abnormalities.
But due to the nature of the injury, Faker is required to take a break and go through physical therapy treatments and rehabilitation programs. Though we are not sure when he will be coming back, it is highly likely that he will be able to make a return before the LCK 2023 Summer Playoffs.

Who is Replacing Faker in T1?
As for who would be replacing Faker, the T1 Esports Academy mid-laner Poby would be taking up the mantle. The 17-year-old Mid-laner has some big shoes to fill, and many have even expressed he is not yet ready for LCK. But hopefully, he will be able to take up the challenge and show what he is capable of on the big stage.
