Capcom’s Exoprimal is the latest live-service title to hit the market. The action shooter game has also received a full-fledged roadmap with planned future updates.
Exoprimal is a team-based third-person shooter title developed by Capcom. Like Monster Hunter, this game is a live-service title that allows players to play online. Furthermore, Exoprimal is Capcom’s first attempt at a shooter title.
The game was fully launched on July 14, with a price tag of 59.99$. Though the game might seem too expensive as a shooter title, Capcom has shown its commitment to developing the game by revealing its roadmap showing planned content and updates.

Exoprimal Roadmap Overview
The roadmap shows Capcom’s plan to introduce a season system to the game. The first season will be available on July 28, 2023, with Season 2 and Season 3 arriving in the next few months.

The season system of the game will function like most other games. Moreover, each season will last almost 3 months and feature new content for the game divided into two parts. The first part of the DLC content will be available with the season launch. Additionally, the second part of the DLC content will also be available with the mid-season update.
Season 1 Update
Exoprimal’s Season 1 was launched on July 14, 2023. However, the first update will be available on July 28th. With the update, players can access the Savage Gauntlet game mode. Unlike the Dino Survival mode, this PvE game mode is one higher spectrum of difficulty. Emphasizing late-game potential, this game mode will receive new weekly rule sets.
The mid-season or title update 1 will be available on August 16, 2023, featuring 10 new Alpha Variant exosuits. The new exosuits will allow players to craft their own playstyle and go all out on the dinos in-game.
Season 2 Update
Exoprimal’s Season 2 or Title Update 2 will be available on October 13, 2023. With the Season 2 launch, players will receive a new Ocean Platform map, new rigs, modules, and a new final mission.
In addition to the new content, with the mid-season update, players will get the first Capcom collaboration with Street Fighter 6. The Capcom collaboration will introduce a new Street Fighter-themed exosuit for players to use in-game.
Season 3 Update
Exoprimal’s Season 3, or Title Update 3, will be available approximately on January 13, 2024. With the Season 3 launch, players will receive a new Beta exosuit variant and a new Neo dinosaur named Neo Triceratops.
In addition to the new content, with the mid-season update, players will get the second Capcom collaboration with Monster Hunter. Like the first Street Fighter 6 collaboration, this will also introduce a new Monster Hunter-themed exosuit for players to use in-game.
