In a recent announcement, Epic announced that they are looking into changing the XP gain system of Fortnite Season 8.
Epic Games changed the way players grind for XP with the introduction of Fortnite Season 8. In the new season, Punchards from different NPC’s replaced the weekly Epic challenges from previous seasons. Epic also made changes to Team Rumble disabling XP from challenges and only offering Gold Bars.
There was a good way to farm XP recently in the Imposter Game Mode. Completing tasks in this mode offered a lot of XP. But Epic recently nerfed the XP gain from the Imposter game mode by 50%.
These changes apparently made a lot of people frustrated as to why Epic would change the XP grind. On different social media, we saw players voicing their frustration with the way Epic Games was handling the whole situation. A lot of casual players felt uncertain about reaching the max Battle Pass tier to get all of the rewards.
Epic Games recently made an official announcement regarding all of these worries and announced that they are working on changing the XP gain system soon.
Epic is looking into XP Gain Changes:
The official FortniteStatus Twitter account announced the news about the changes coming to the XP gain system. The Tweet talks about Epic’s plans to make some improvements to the current XP grind of Fortnite Season 8.
The Tweet reads,
“We’ve noticed that XP gained in Battle Royale this season isn’t where we’d like it to be and are making a variety of improvements.
We’ll update everyone on 9/28 with the changes we’re making. Thanks for playing Season 8!”
So, on 28th September we will finally get to learn about the changes to the XP grind coming to Fortnite Season 8. Hopefully, these changes will make the XP grind bearable for the casual player base of Fortnite.
