Hellboy: Web of Wyrd Ending Explained
After you take down the very last boss of the game, the Nazi Werner, you pull down the curtains on him and teleport him from the Wyrd to the real world. Werner then realizes that once he is dead in the real world, his story will end right then and there.
That ends the last mission. However, the story does not end right there. Once Werner’s cutscene ends, the epilogue screen comes up.
You reunite with your squad. It is then Altman explains that he found a way to create a story and affect the real world in such a way that Werner would think that he was still in the Wyrd. Thereafter, Hellboy assures everyone that Werner’s story has indeed come to an end. The scene ends with Hellboy saying that he has an important promise to keep.
In the last cutscene of the game, Hellboy goes to meet Scheherazade to fulfill a wish, which is to find a way to break the curse that binds Scheherazade to the Wyrd. With that, she thanks Hellboy, and the credits start rolling.
