Dynasty Warriors: Origins lets you use a myriad of weapons, to devastate the battlefield and take out hundreds of enemies in one go. Furthermore, there are a lot of weapons to choose from and weapon arts to dish out combos and powerful special attacks for maximum damage.
Inspired by the great Romance of The Three Kingdoms, Dynasty Warriors: Origins weapons are taken right from Chinese history. All Weapons in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

There are a total of 10 weapon types in the game. They are: Sword, Spear, Gauntlets, Wheels, Podao, Staff, Twin Pikes, Lance, Crescent Blade, and Halberd. Each of these weapon types has multiple versions, unlocked by upgrading them.
Furthermore, each weapon type has its own set of weapon arts that lets you use special skills.

Gauntlets | Obtained after defeating Zhou Cang in Chapter 1: Battle of Guangzong. |
Wheels | Dropped after defeating the officers Zhang Ju or Qiliju in Chapter 2: Suppression of You Province. |
Podao | Dropped after defeating one of the officers among the enemy groups in Chapter 2: Subjugation of the White Wave Bandits. |
Staff | Obtained after defeating Dong Min in Chapter 2: Assassination Dong Zhou. (South-west Chamber aka gold room) |
Twin Pikes | Dropped after defeating Zhang Liao in Chapter 2: Battle of Hulao Gate. (Can also be unlocked earlier in Chapter 2 by defeating Zhang Lio in the Assassination Dong Zhou chapter). |
Lance | Obtained in Chapter 3: Battle Xu Province after joining any of the three allies. Cao Cao – Defeat Mi Zhu or Zhang Fei Sun Jian – Purchase in Shouchun Lie Bei – Defeat Ganjin |
Crescent Blade | Obtained in Chapter 3: Battle Xu Province after joining any of the three allies. Cao Cao – Defeat Jia Xu or as an enemy drop. Sun Jian – Obtained from enemy drop Lie Bei – Defeat Cao Cao |

All Weapon Upgrades

Weapons are upgraded through the reforge mechanic which unlocks after completing the campaign once. Before this, you can purchase from the store or use weapons dropped by enemies.
