Dragon Age is all about how you make up your character. Similarly, Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers fan-favorite classes and specializations with few changes. Especially a focus on action-combat. Choose your class that matches your playstyle and after a certain level of progression choose a specialization or sub-class.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers three classes to choose from. After hitting level 20, you can choose one of three specializations, which further adds nuances to skills and combat. Thus adding more to the uniqueness of your play style.

Rogue

  • Weapons Type: Daggers and Bow

Rogue classes focus on both melee and ranged combat with a focus on agility. Their abilities consist of combo damage and trick-based powers to completely dominate the enemy.

Specialization:

  • Duelist – Takes down enemies with an extremely fast combo and increasingly high damage potential.
  • Veil Ranger – Similar to the duelist but with a focus on long-ranged damage using bows and arrows.
  • Saboteur – Uses traps and bombs to disorient or confuse enemies before the final blow to the duelist but with a focus on long-ranged damage using the bows and arrows.

Mage

The classic RPG staple, the Mage class gives you control over devastating spells for both offense and defense. You can choose from ice magic, necromancy, and lightning to attack enemies head-on and crowd control. Moreover, you get to have some sweet buff and debuff spells for maximum damage or protection of your squad.

Specialization:

  • Evoker – Manipulate ice to freeze and blast your enemy groups and manipulate the battle to your advantage.
  • Spellblade – Combines melee attack with the power of electricity for simultaneous magic and melee combos, including powerful debuffs or buffs.
  • Death Caller – Uses Necromancy to attack and drain enemy life from a distance and add them to your powerful attacks.

Warrior

The Warrior class is for the pure brawler, fighter, and tank players. They have some of the highest defense and attack power with their heavy-hitting swords, shields, and axes. Warriors also have abilities to boost party member stats or help protect them while they ram through enemies.

Specialization:

  • Champion – Similar to a “Knight” class, Champions lead the team from the front. They possess skills that can break enemy lines with blazing AoE attacks or endure non-stop enemies. Furthermore, they can also grant buffs to teammates with inspiring abilities.
  • Slayer – Slayer class lets you go berserk with devastating AoE attacks and dual-wielded weapons. You have the raw power but also the swiftness to cut through enemy numbers with ease.
  • Reaper – Reaper are slow and tactical. They attack by throwing shields from a distance using necrotic abilities to drain enemies of their lives and through soul-summoning-based attacks that attack multiple enemies at once.
