Apex Legends always had a fixed crosshair attached to each specific sights. And there is no option to change either the color or the shape of the crosshair.
A recent fan-made crosshair concept from a fan has been circulating around the social media that got some traction. In addition to giving players the option to choose what shape or size of crosshair they want, with the color select option players should also be able to choose the exact colored crosshair they want.

This should in turn help colorblind players as they can customize the color of their crosshair to see more clearly during hectic gunfights. The concept was so promising that it immediately caught the attention of the developers at Respawn Entertainment.

According to Josh, they have already started to pitch exactly how they are going to implement such elements into the live version of the game. If it gets approved by all the relevant parties, Apex Legends players will be able to customize the color and shape of their crosshair to their heart’s content.

However, as this is still in the idea phase, exactly when it will arrive in the live servers is still up for debate. Having said that, it is still a solid step in the right direction.
