Lightfall Subclass Revealed
The Lightfall expansion will introduce a brand new subclass, allowing players to unlock new abilities and powers. This new subclass will be centered around the element of light, giving players a range of new abilities to experiment with. Bungie has already revealed the name of these subclasses, and these subclasses are:
Warlock Broodweaver
- Needlestorm: Weave a cloud of Strand before shattering it, causing a hailstorm of piercing missiles that detonate upon impact.
- Arcane Needle: Throw a Strand needle that tracks your target and unravels them.
- Weaver’s Call: When casting a rift, weave three Threadlings on the ground in front of you.
- Mindspun Invocation: Empower your grenades with additional Broodweaver-specific qualities.
Hunter Threadrunner
- Silkstrike: Combine a grappling hook and rope dart to exploit the battlefield and deftly execute your targets.
- Threaded Spike: Throw a rope dart that damages targets, ricochets, and returns melee energy.
- Ensnaring Slam: Descend upon your targets from above, slamming the ground and suspending them in the blast.
- Widow’s Silk: Grapple more often and create grapple points that you and your fireteam can use indefinitely.
Titan Berserker
- Bladefury: Weave powerful claws and charge the battlefield armed with new Light and Heavy attacks at your disposal.
- Frenzied Blade: Dash at your targets and slash at them with blades of finely honed Strand.
- Into the Fray: Enhance your armor with Woven Mail and increase your melee regeneration.
- Drengr’s Lash: Unleash a frontal shockwave which suspends targets caught in the blast.
Shared Abilities
- Grapple: Weave the fabric of reality and unlock new elements of movement, strategy, and speed.
- Grenades: Tightly woven threads of utility and destruction imbued with functionality from the Weave.
- Grapple Melee: Grapple toward an enemy to unleash a powerful Strand-empowered melee attack that unravels them.
Weapons & Gear
- Apocalypse Apparel: Class-specific armor sets for Guardians who refuse to go gentle into that good night.
- Final Warning: Land attacks so precise that you and your target appear tethered by the Weave… if only for a fleeting, unraveling moment.
- Deterministic Chaos: Focus on your unrelenting attack and deliver the metal. Heavy, inevitable, and filled with the chaos of the Void.
- Winterbite: Where once your foes find confidence in a steadfast stance, they will only find shattered ice and pain. Cold pain.
- Lambent Legends: Firepower tested in Neptune’s most extreme environments. Lock, load, and introduce the Shadow Legion to defiance.
- Cyrtarachne’s Facade: See through the fear and close the gap, Hunter. The Weave will strengthen your defenses and steady your nerves.
- Abeyant Leap: A Titan’s control of the battlefield is absolute. Suspend your rivals and bolster your armor as they patiently await your permission to stand.
- Swarmers: Warlocks understand nothing is ever truly created or destroyed. Reshape the Weave, reveal the Threadlings, and infest your enemies.
New Lightfall Raid
The Lightfall expansion will introduce a new raid. This new raid promises to be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in the game, taking players deep into the heart of the darkness to face trials and obstacles. The new raid will be released on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 9 AM PST.
New Lightfall Enemies
The Lightfall expansion will also introduce a range of new enemies, including powerful bosses and fearsome beasts. These new enemies will test the skills and resolve of even the most seasoned players, providing a new challenge for players to overcome.
Players will face off against Calus’ Shadow Legion, a new Cabal army enhanced by the Witness’ power and Pyramid technology and equipped with suppression devices that can take away players’ abilities. They will also encounter new Tormentor enemies, which are boss-like Pyramid enemies that have a range of attacks and are difficult to defeat. The Vex will also play a significant role.
Brand New Space
Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion will bring players to a new destination, Neomuna, the capital of Neptune. This technologically advanced city, illuminated by neon lights, was created by a different version of humanity and has remained hidden since the Collapse.
However, with the arrival of Lightfall, the fight to stop another collapse has come to Neomuna, and the Guardians must join forces with the city’s elite defenders, known as the Cloud Striders, to defend the city from new threats.
