Deadlock’s New Patch Nerfed Apollo and Shook Up the Meta

Valve has rolled out a new Deadlock patch, and one hero took the biggest hit. Apollo has received a long list of nerfs targeting his damage output, scaling, survivability, and ability consistency. The update significantly tones down his power across multiple builds, especially the Flawless Advance and Itani Lo Sahn ability lines that previously made him a top duelist and burst threat in high-level matches.

The changes appear aimed at reducing Apollo’s dominance in extended fights while also limiting his scaling potential in late-game scenarios. Apollo Nerfs Explained in the Latest Deadlock Patch

The new Deadlock patch introduces sweeping nerfs to Apollo’s kit. Flawless Advance, one of his core abilities, has been heavily adjusted across every upgrade tier. The hit radius has been reduced by ten percent, which lowers reliability when engaging targets. Base hold damage has dropped from 30 to 25, while spirit scaling on the same ability has been reduced from 0.7 to 0.55. Max hold damage has also been cut from 45 to 40, with scaling lowered from 1.1 to 0.9.

Perfect damage from Flawless Advance has been reduced from 75 to 65, and its spirit scaling has been lowered from 1.65 to 1.55. Tier 3 perfect damage has been reduced to 65, and its spirit scaling bonus has been indirectly reduced as well. Even the Tier 1 heal on hit has been nerfed, going from 35 to 30. These cumulative adjustments significantly reduce Apollo’s burst potential and sustain during extended fights.

Itani Lo Sahn and Defensive Changes

Apollo’s Itani Lo Sahn ability has also been hit with multiple nerfs. The ability now goes on cooldown when interrupted, making it less forgiving during aggressive plays. Base damage has been reduced from 250 to 225, and spirit scaling has been lowered from 1.75 to 1.6. This directly impacts his ability to burst down targets during engagements.

Other changes include a fix to Slowing Hex interactions that previously prevented Disengaging Sigil from functioning correctly. While this is technically a bug fix, it reduces Apollo’s ability to lock down targets in certain situations. Additionally, Riposte on Pummel Hit has been changed from providing bullet resistance to melee resistance, which shifts how players build defensive stats around the hero.

How the Apollo Nerfs Impact the Deadlock Meta

Apollo was widely considered one of the stronger duelists in Deadlock thanks to his high damage scaling and sustain. With reduced damage numbers across multiple abilities and weaker healing, he is no longer as dominant in one-on-one engagements.
