A fresh batch of datamined voice lines is making the rounds, and they point squarely at a possible Cyberpunk 2077 crossover coming to Apex Legends. The lines were shared by known Apex dataminer HYPERMYSTx and quickly picked up by the community, with several Legends apparently getting dialogue that leans hard into Night City energy. Nothing here is official, so treat it with the usual pinch of salt, but the wording is specific enough that it is almost impossible to ignore.

The lines that surfaced cover four familiar faces. Mirage has one that goes “Just drive easy, ya geezer. The cyberboogeymen aren’t after you.” Caustic gets a wistful “If only I could wield such cybernetic strength.” Crypto delivers a blunt “Cyberpsychosis has begun.” And Revenant, ever the ray of sunshine, throws out “Damn, Cyberpsychosis.”

“Cyberpsychosis” Was Mentioned

If you have spent any time in Night City, that one word does a lot of heavy lifting. Cyberpsychosis is a core piece of Cyberpunk 2077 lore, describing what happens when someone crams too much chrome into their body and starts losing their grip on reality. Having both Crypto and Revenant reference it directly is the kind of detail that feels deliberate rather than coincidental. Random flavor dialogue does not usually borrow a rival franchise’s signature terminology by accident.

Caustic musing about cybernetic strength fits his mad scientist streak a little too neatly, and Revenant’s grumbling about cyberpsychosis lands perfectly, given he is already a murder-happy simulacrum who has arguably lost most of his humanity. The lines read like they were written by someone who actually knows both universes.

The One Voice Line That Might Not Be New

Here is where a little context matters before anyone gets carried away. Mirage’s “cyberboogeymen” line has actually been floating around in Apex’s voice line files for a while now and shows up on community voice line archives as one of his existing driving quotes. So while it fits the theme beautifully, it may not be a brand new addition tied to this rumored event at all. It could just be an old line that happens to sound like it belongs, which is exactly the sort of thing that muddies a leak like this. Worth keeping in mind before treating all four as confirmed crossover content.

The cyberpsychosis lines from Crypto and Revenant, on the other hand, are the ones that you should look into, since that terminology is far more distinctly Cyberpunk.

How This Gives the Apex x Cyberpunk Leak More Credibility

These voice lines are not landing in a vacuum. Datamined files from recent Apex updates have already hinted at an unannounced Cyberpunk collaboration that is reportedly in the works, and the trail of breadcrumbs has been building for a bit.

Players poking around the E-District map spotted vending machine snacks with packaging that mirrors the Samurai band logo, the fictional group fronted by Johnny Silverhand. So, that was the first live-in-game asset explicitly nodding to Night City.

On the cosmetics side, leaks have pointed to a Horizon skin drawing clear inspiration from David Martinez, the protagonist of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime, along with a Mythic Alternator skin rumored to feature custom AI voice lines styled after Skippy, the talking pistol from Cyberpunk 2077. Stack all of that on top of these newly surfaced Legend lines, and the picture starts to look less like a scattered coincidence and more like a coordinated event waiting in the wings.

As of writing, the smart move is to watch for an official announcement rather than assume anything is locked in. If Respawn does pull the trigger on a Cyberpunk collaboration, expect it to arrive as a themed event with the Edgerunners-flavored skins, the Skippy weapon, and quite possibly these very voice lines attached. Until EA says otherwise, though, this stays firmly in leak territory, so enjoy the speculation and keep your expectations flexible.
