Everything you need to know about Night City’s most dangerous area.

Cyberpunk 2077‘s first expansion, Phantom Liberty, is a spy thriller that sends V headfirst into the world of espionage. Along with a multitude of new features, this DLC adds a new district for players to explore and where the storyline takes place.

Dogtown is a walled-off area in the Pacifica subdistrict and falls out of the jurisdiction of the NCPD. Therefore its residents are mostly gang members, smugglers, and other criminals. It is controlled by the Barghest, led by Kurt Hansen. Most importantly, Dogtown is the location of Phantom Liberty’s questline.

This guide aims to inform you about Dogtown before you dive into Cyberpunk’s newest expansion.

How to Unlock Dogtown in Cyberpunk 2077

To unlock Dogtown, you’ll need to own the Phantom Liberty DLC and progress through its quest line. The quest will start near the end of the story, as before the point of no return. After the main quest, “Transmission,” Songbird will contact you and offer to save your life for a favor, which you can choose to accept or not.
