A completely new Submachine Gun called Marco 5 will join the Call of Duty multiplayer mode following the season 4 Mercenaries of Fortune update.
Raven Software has been killing it with their content drop scattered across multiple live service titles such as Vanguard and Warzone. With each new update, the devs try to spice things up by releasing new maps, weapons, map POI updates, balancing changes, and more to keep the player base engaged.
The Call of Duty community is always excited about the prospect of new weapon releases. And it turns out the dev team is working hard to release new weapons in future updates. According to the official Call of Duty blog, a new Marco 5 SMG will arrive on both Warzone and Vanguard’s battle pass with the Season 4 Mercenaries of Fortune update.

Marco 5 SMG is accurate and reliable, has a best-in-class fire rate, and excels in close-range gunfights. The gun will be available for players in Warzone and Vanguard’s multiplayer. Furthermore, this will be the first Akimbo or Gung Ho weapon in Vanguard. It will be interesting to see how different players develop different weapon builds for this upcoming Submachine Gun.
Marco 5 SMG
Heavily inspired by Uzi and Mac-10, the Marco 5 SMG is a high mobility submachine gun, accurate from the hip with excellent close-range stopping power. This gun can accommodate rush playstyles. With the fast fire rate and high damage output, the weapon will be a favorable option for close-range and mid-range playstyle accompanied by a Sniper Rifle or an A.R. Moreover, the gun can be dual-wielded using the Akimbo perk for added firepower.
How to unlock Marco 5 SMG
The new Marco 5 SMG will be available for free in Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 Battle Pass Tier 31. Because this is a free weapon, there is no need for players to purchase the Season 4 Battle Pass. Furthermore, they can play Modern Warfare, Cold War, Vanguard, or Warzone to garner enough XP to unlock new weapons and free rewards.
Marco 5 SMG Release Date
According to Raven Software, Marco 5 SMG will be arriving in both Warzone and Vanguard shortly after the Season 4 update, which will start on June 22, 2022, at 9 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM BST. The official release date was revealed on June 15 alongside the brand new map Fortune’s Keep.
