Call of Duty: Vanguard seems to be now confirmed as Activision releases first Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Season 5 key art containing a hidden teaser.
The Season 5 key art was posted on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, and it revealed the latest operator – Kitsune – arriving in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War with the launch of the new season.
However, some sharp-eyed fans (source: EricMaynardII) have spotted something else in this teaser image. On the right-hand side, the poster contains Japanese texts, which translates into: “Vanguard is coming” – a direct easter egg from the developers hinting towards the 2021 Call of Duty title.
The rumours for Call of Duty’s next premium title to be called ‘Vanguard’ has been flying around for some time now. And now, Activision seems to have confirmed this rumour with this official image of the Season 5 art.
Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Vanguard is expected to be based on WWII. The title is planned to be released in Q4 of 2021, according to Activision’s recent earnings call. Vanguard is also set to contain deep integrations with Warzone, catering to both the premium and free users of these CoD games.
Other than these, there isn’t much official information on Call Duty 2021 yet. But, keep following us for the latest updates.
