Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 3 roadmap has been revealed.
Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 2 is coming to an end in a few days. Recently we got a roadmap of the upcoming season 3. A detailed blog post was released by Call of Duty informing us about everything that’s coming with the new season dropping soon.
Below you can find everything there is to know about the upcoming season of Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone.
Season 3 File Size and Release Date:
Similar to the previous season the update will drop at different times for Cold War and Warzone. The Season 3 update for Cold War will drop on April 20 at 9 PM PT while Warzone will receive its update a day later on April 21at 9 PM PT.

Hunt for Adler Event:
There will be a new in-game event for both Cold War and Warzone at the start of Season 3. The event is called “Hunt for Adler” and it will task players with unique in-game challenges to find Adler’s whereabouts.
By completing these challenges players have a chance to earn rewards such as Weapon Charms, Calling Cards, a new Operator Skin, and more.
Three New Operators:
Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 3 will introduce three new operators to the fight. They are-
- Wraith: Warsaw Pact (Launch Week)
The Wraith skin is the tier 0 skin in the Season 3 battle pass. Reaching level 100 will unlock another legendary skin for Wraith.
- Knight: Warsaw Pact (In-Season)
New Operator Knight will be available in the Season 3 store bundles.
- Antonov: Warsaw Pact (In-Season)
Operator Antonov will also come to the store as part of a bundle during the season.
Price is also Joining the Fight:
Price from Call of Duty Modern Warfare is coming to Warzone and Cold War for Season 3.
“Those who purchase any version of Black Ops Cold War at the start of Season Three will receive the Price ’84 Operator for use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Plus, anyone who already owns Black Ops Cold War will automatically receive the Price ’84 Operator at the start of Season Three.”
Six New Weapons:
Season 3 will introduce 6 new weapons to the loot pool. These weapons range from SMG’s, Snipers, Tactical Rifles to Baseball bats.

Swiss K31: Sniper Rifle (Launch Week)
Ballistic Knife: Melee (Launch Week)
CARV.2: Tactical Rifle (In-Season)
AMP63: Pistol (In-Season)

Black Ops Cold War:
Four Multiplayer Maps:
There will be 4 new multiplayer maps coming to Call of Duty Cold War Season 3. The maps, their team sizes, and their launch window is given below-
Yamantau (6v6, Launch Week)
Diesel (6v6/2v2/3v3, Launch Week)
Standoff (6v6, In-Season)
Duga (Multi-Team, In-Season)
Game Modes:
Two new additional game modes will be coming to Cold War with the launch of Season 3. They are-
Sticks and Stones(Launch Week):
“It’s every Operator for themselves, with each player deploying with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow, Ballistic Knife, and a Tomahawk. Earn score with crossbow and Ballistic Knife kills, and eliminate enemies with the Tomahawk to bankrupt their score to zero. The first player to reach the score limit or the player with the highest score when the timer expires wins.”
Multi-Team Elimination (In-Season):
“The upcoming Multi-Team Elimination mode brings the last-team-standing experience to Black Ops Cold War’s biggest maps, where multiple teams of four will fight to survive ever-expanding radiation zones. Redeploys will be limited and loadouts will be restricted, so teams will need to scavenge for weapons, Scorestreaks, Armor, Redeploy Tickets, and more. Emerge as the last team standing or the first squad to board the exfil chopper in the final safe zone to achieve victory.”
New Vehicles and Scoresctreaks:
Scorestreak: Strafe Run (Launch Week):
The new Scorestreak called Strafe Run will call in two Jet fighters to fire upon the Drop Zone. This is a mid-tier scorestreak that has the potential for high kills.
Cargo Truck (Launch Week):
The Cargo Truck will be available in multi-team game modes. At launch, the truck will be available only on Ruka, Alpine, and Golova and will be introduced to Duga at a later date.
Cold War Zombies Content:
New Field Upgrade: Toxic Growth:
The Toxic Growth is an activatable Field Upgrade that summons a deadly growth of toxic thorns in front of an Operator. Enemies moving through it have their movement speed halved and suffer toxic damage until they exit the affected area. It can be further upgraded to double its damage, gain more uses, and even cause enemies who perish from the growth to explode.
New Outbreak Region: Duga (Launch Week)
The Duga region of the Outbreak map is based on Russia.
“You and your squad fight through the massive new Duga region set in the Ural Mountains, packed with new documents, audio logs, radio transmissions, and artifacts hidden throughout the Outbreak Zone.”
New Outbreak Vehicles: FAV and Cargo Truck (Launch Week)
Two new vehicles are coming to Outbreak and they are the FAV buggy and the Cargo Truck.
New Outbreak World Events and Features (Launch Week)
“Experience new interactive events throughout the Ural Mountains to earn in-game rewards! For the first time in Outbreak, gain access to upgrades for the D.I.E. Machine Wonder Weapon, unlock the powerful Aether Tool item by destroying Fury Crystals, discover the secret to warping ahead to higher difficulty regions even faster, and more.”
Expanded Outbreak Objectives (Launch Week)
“Outbreak objectives are now active in more locations than ever before in Season Three. Encounter the Defend, Retrieve, and Holdout Objectives in more regions for even more variety in every Outbreak match.”
New Onslaught Content (PlayStation) (Launch Week)
“PlayStation players can take on the undead to earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Chalices in Onslaught on the new Yamantau map at launch, and on Standoff mid-season. Look for a new limited-time mode in Onslaught later in Season Three, as well.”
New Prestige Levels:
Four new prestige level to earn for players over the course of Season 3.
1. Level 50: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Weapon Blueprint, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
2. Level 100: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
3. Level 150: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
4. Level 190: All Season Challenges Available
5. Level 200: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Battle Pass Tier Skip, Master Prestige Calling Card
6. Levels 250 – 1,000: New Prestige Key every 50 levels
New Multiplayer and Zombies Season Challenges
“Unlock new customization content and XP bonuses by completing new Season Challenges and Operator Missions in Multiplayer and Zombies. Complete all Season Challenges for a specific mode (Multiplayer or Zombies) to unlock a massive bonus of 10,000 XP and a badass Animated Master Calling Card to add to your Profile and Calling Card Showcase.”
Warzone Intel:
The Zombies grow even more restless and dangerous with each passing day. More info about the story and map changes will be revealed at a later date.
