The Blue Essence Emporium is returning to League of Legends in December.

In League of Legends, there are two types of main currencies: RP or Riot Points and BE or Blue Essence. There are other currencies like Event Tokens and Mythic Essence. However, they are not as easily obtainable as RP and BE.

Riot Points or RP are the premium currency. They are not obtainable by playing the game but instead can only be purchased with physical or real-life money. Because of this, players can buy almost anything in League of Legends through RP.

Blue Essence, or BE, on the other hand, is the common currency. Players can earn them by playing the game regularly. With BE, players can purchase champions, rune pages, and a few icons from the shop.

Once a year, Riot opens a store called Blue Essence Emporium. Through that store, players can purchase skins, chroma, wards, icons, and other goodies with their Blue Essence.

More than a year ago, Blue Essence Emporium went on hiatus. But it recently came back in patch 13.17. Overall, it was a success. So much so that Riot is bringing it back to League of Legends in December.

League of Legends: Blue Essence Emporium Is Coming Back In December

Recently, Riot Games posted a dev log on their official YouTube. In it, they have revealed many new upcoming contents, like champions, lore, cinematic, etc. Among them, they also revealed that the Blue Essence Emporium would be returning very soon.

The reason for that was the recent return of the shop had many technical issues behind the scenes. Due to this, they couldn’t implement many new items in the store, like chromas, mystery wards, icons, etc. So they want to bring it back as they envisioned it before properly.

For now, they have stated that the emporium would return in December. However, they did not give out any specific dates or patch numbers. So, for now, we just have to wait and see.
