Bloodborne fans have another way to return to Yharnam on PC. A Bloodborne: Game of the Year Edition repack has appeared on FitGirl Repacks, packaging the PS4 game with version 1.9.6 of the community-developed Bloodborne PC project.

Players who have spent years waiting for Sony to bring Bloodborne to PC, the communityโ€™s progress gave them plenty to get excited about. However, this release remains an unofficial project, with its technology growing out of bbport and earlier shadPS4 work.

In brief:

  • The repack packages Bloodborneโ€™s GOTY edition, including The Old Hunters, with a community Windows port.
  • Its underlying technology runs the gameโ€™s original CPU code directly and translates graphics to Vulkan.
  • The Windows project supports unlocked frame rates, FSR, and DLSS.
  • Sony has yet to release an official Bloodborne PC port.

The listing identifies the package as the PS4 CUSA03173 release with update 1.09, combined with the Supermedo/Jgamrot bloodborne_pc 1.9.6 fork. Its advertised download size is 14.1 GB, compared with an original size of around 29.8 GB.

The GOTY edition includes The Old Hunters, bringing the expansionโ€™s additional areas, weapons, and bosses into the package. The Windows projectโ€™s documentation also confirms that this edition contains the DLC.

How Bloodborneโ€™s Native PC Execution Works

The term โ€œnative recompilationโ€ needs some context here. bbport describes an approach similar to Wine and DXVK: Bloodborneโ€™s original x86-64 code executes directly on the computerโ€™s CPU, while a dedicated runtime replaces PS4 system libraries.

Graphics are translated to Vulkan through a renderer derived from shadPS4. Calling it native execution reflects how the CPU code runs, but the project still relies on substantial compatibility and graphics translation work.

Unlocked FPS, Upscaling and Community Online Features

The Windows project lists DLSS, FSR 3.1 and FSR 4, alongside frame-rate options above 60 FPS. Its documentation also describes controller and keyboard-and-mouse support.

Community online features are marked as beta, including messages, bloodstains, ghosts, and co-op through community services. These features remain under development, and the latest project documentation may describe changes beyond the repackโ€™s bundled version. Performance will also depend on hardware and settings.

Bloodborne Fans Are Still Waiting for Sonyโ€™s Official PC Port

The standalone community project supplies no game files and requires users to provide their own decrypted Bloodborne copy updated to version 1.09. The repack separately bundles game content with that software.

Bloodborne was already playable on PC through shadPS4 before this release. The latest development builds on that community effort and offers another route to higher frame rates and modern display options. Sonyโ€™s official PC version remains absent, leaving fans to keep pushing the 2015 game forward themselves.
