The Riddle of the Night and Silent Library puzzles are the same! We will show you the solution to this questline puzzle in BG3.

However, as you start BG3, you will have multiple quests in your hand. Players may need to visit specific regions to complete some quests of this kind. The Gauntlet of Shar is a one-of-a-kind region where you will have to solve different kinds of puzzles to get through the game, and one of the puzzles is the Riddle of the Night.
Riddle of The Night Puzzle Solution in BG3
Don’t mix up the Silent Library puzzle and the Riddle of the Night puzzle altogether, as both are the same! As you visit the Gaunlet of Shar, head to the Silent Library to solve this mystery.
At the Silent Library, you may see an Altar, and this certain Altar is known as the Riddle of the Night. Once you get close to it, it will ask you, “What can silence the Nightsong?”. To find the answer, players will have to solve the puzzle.
Get The Trapped Book
Find the book Teachings of Loss: The Nightsinger on the Silent Library shelf, and take it. But getting this book won’t be that simple. Players may also use coordinates X:-771 and Y:-742 to find the book.
Do a Dexterity Check in Sleight of Hand with a Difficulty Class of 14 to obtain the book. If you choose more than 21 of the Difficulty levels, you might fail in opening locks or getting the book.
After you get the book from the trapped area, get it to the West part of the library, where the Altar is, and drop it on the Altar from your Inventory. Then, a small door will open, and players may get inside and see the ultimate weapon, the Spear of the Night. Collect it, and this puzzle is solved.
You may also find a Dark Justiciar Half-Plate, Helmet to adorn your character wisely. These are some of the armor customizations in BG3.
