Changing Party Member in Baldur’s Gate 3

In Baldur’s Gate 3, you cannot change party members whenever you want. But it is pretty easy to change a member. You will have to head back to the camp to do it. If you encounter a new member while having a full party, you can send him/her back to the camp first. Then you will be able to change party members at the camp to incorporate the new member into the team.

To change your party members, follow these steps:

  • Travel back to the camp. This can be done easily using the fast travel option.
  • At the camp, talk to the party member that you want to remove from the party.
  • Tell the party member to rest and stay at the camp. This will free up space in your party.
  • Now, talk to the new member and recruit him/her into the team.

That is all you have to do to change the party member. Since you cannot change the party as you want while you are roaming the world, you need to plan your party accordingly if you are taking a big fight for any quest. But, because of how long the member-changing process is, it can become tedious if you play for a long time.
