How To Befriend Timber in Baldur’s Gate 3
Find the Timber near Emerald Grove on the map. No matter what you do, do not kick Timber, the squirrel. Kicking will harm the squirrel in a deadly way and result in the death of the Timber.
To befriend Timber, you will need to do Two things;
Complete “Nature” Check
Execute and finish the Nature Check first by studying the behavior of the squirrel properly. An option will appear on your screen about the Nature Check; click on it, and you can complete this part.
Fulfill “Animal Handling” Check
After completing the Nature Check, you or your team member can come up to Timber and do the next task check, Animal Handling. Animal Handling Check can be accomplished with just a click of the tongue! It will show the squirrel as if you are scolding it. This type of check must sound hilarious, but it is what is needed to befriend the squirrel for life.
Clicking tongues will show Timber that you are willing to create a friendship bond with it. Moreover, this type of sound is familiar to the squirrel community.
If you complete the first check and then the second one, the Timber will salute. Now congratulations! You and the Timber are friends. Timber will not only help in completing quests but also become the permanent companion in BG3.
