How to Solve the Wooden Hatch Puzzle in BG3
Players will be required to investigate an underground cellar while completing their quests in the Blighted Village. The cellar is situated under the Apothecary shop. After reaching the apothecary shop, you will find a wooden hatch in front of a table. Now, jump into the wooden hatch to reach the underground cellar.
After reaching the cellar, you will find a broken room with a reading table inside it. Get past the room, and you will come across a large bookshelf. Although it may initially seem normal, the bookshelf hides a hidden passage behind it to continue through the mission.
You cannot break the bookshelf using your attacks. The only way to find your way to the other side of the bookshelf is to finish the puzzle. On the left side of the bookshelf, you will find three wooden crates stacked up on each other, and your way to reach the bookshelf lies behind these crates.
Now, choose the wooden crate at the top and press on the Throw Item option. Select a location to throw the wooden crate to get it out of your way. After the wooden crate is moved, you can find a lever behind it. Afterward, interact with the lever to successfully move the bookshelf and make your way through the cellar. Moreover, you can also use your attacks to break the wooden crates and interact with the lever.
