Make your Mage an S-tier class in Enshrouded.
This Super Tier Mage build is packed with deep mechanics to keep combat engaging, offering insane damage, incredible healing, and fast-paced gameplay. Without a doubt, you’ll be unstoppable if you play your cards right.
Start by using your wand for damage and bomb throwables for clearing groups of enemies. As you level up and gain more skill points, you should unlock Electric Tendrils, a heal ability, and a damage ability. Additionally, level up to godhood with insane region damage output and strong defenses. Also, take advantage of spells for burst damage, like fireballs, poison carpets, and chain lightnings.

Plus, you can even trick the in-game mechanics into thinking you’re casting spells while throwing out Wand projectiles, resulting in absurd damage at no cost. However, do not heavily rely on it. Now, keep that aside and dive into the build!
S-tier Mage Build
Skills/Stats
Let’s talk about the key attributes for this build. First off, Intelligence is super important because it really boosts your damage in a major way. In other words, what else makes a Mage, right?
It works great with magic damage, wand damage, crit damage, and elemental damage on gear, turning 40 damage into 300 plus. Without a doubt, this is a game changer and should always come first before Spirit, giving you a little Mana boost.
Next up is Constitution, which beefs up your health. It’s a big deal because enemies can deal a lot of damage, so having extra health is crucial for staying alive. On the contrary, Spirit and Endurance aren’t key factor for a Mage. Not to worry much because we have other ways to deal with this. Trust me on this one.
Spells
You can equip a long-range weapon like a Staff. Once you have that, you can access the casting menu to pick the spell you want to use. Each spell has its own unique perks. For example, the Ice Bolt can be upgraded to the eternal version, which has unlimited uses and a stronger impact, but it needs more Mana.
In the first tier, you’ll find the Fireball spell, the Standard Ice ball spell, and the Eternal Ice spell. You also have the heal channel spell, which is really useful throughout the game, keeping up the damage and boosting your Staff’s power.
When you cast a spell, there’s a short pause before the projectile is released, but let me tell you, it has an impressive range. Your Mana bar is divided into sections to show how many spells you can cast with your current Mana pool. Moreover, the Fireball and Ice Bolt spells work similarly, but the fireball has this cool area of effect. And get this, the heal channel spell not only does damage, but it also heals you.
Now, here’s something interesting, the Chain Lightning spell actually does a bit more damage than the Fireball. And watch out for the acid bite spell from the third biome, because it causes a lot of damage over time.
Skilltree
To the Peter-copter! Wait, no; to the Skill Tree! We start off with the path of the battle mage. Our goal is to get Intelligence > Absorb > Intelligence > Unity (Wand Master and Sting both). Wand master increases the chances of dealing double damage, while Sting acts as a damage multiplier. With unity, you can also get Mana recovery and absorb for even better Mana regeneration.
Moving on, to the wizard tree. We’ll grab Spirit > This is the Way > Arsonist > Pyromaniac to further boost damage with magic weapons. For now, we’ll skip Radiant Aura since it requires more Intelligence than we already have right now. Instead, from Pyromaniac, we’ll head to Intelligence > Wizard > Chain Hit > Mass Destruction > Intelligence. Wizard gives us extra critical chance, and chain hit inflicts shock damage when you land a critical strike. Plus, we’ll put some points into intelligence.
To improve survivability, let’s allocate some points to the Constitution from the tank and warrior sections. We’ll also equip Quick Charge to speed up our Staff casts. In the healer section, we’ll invest in Intelligence > Healer > Healer II > Intelligence > Water Aura > Waters of Life. This setup ensures we can heal both ourselves and our allies, making it a solid stat.
Next, we’ll get Radiant Aura and Sun Aura for that extra damage. Counter-strike and an additional point in Intelligence will follow. Next, we’ll wrap up the Tank Tree with Shiny Plates > Heavy Plates > Constitution > Warden > Constitution > Earth Aura. Earth Aura reduces damage by a percent, providing additional damage mitigation. Lastly, we’ll complete the build with Begone > Intelligence > Terror, stunning the target for 4 seconds when you land a critical hit with spells.
Consumables
We can level up this build even more with buffs and food. First things first, make sure you’re feeling comfortable to avoid running out of stamina. Then, treat yourself to some meat. In the beginning, go for wolf meat chunks, and as you progress, meat will give your health a nice boost.
If you need a health regen before you get the heal aura, start with berries. Drying them out will make them last longer. To increase your intelligence, any kind of mushroom will do the trick, just make sure to cook them for maximum intelligence gains.
Elixirs are great for boosting your damage, and scrolls can make it even more powerful. Don’t forget to consider other options for increasing light or stamina, and of course, keep those healing potions handy. The alchemist can whip up a bunch by combining water, berries, and mushrooms.
