The strongest amulets you can get your hands on in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D side-scrolling Metroidvania. Like other metroidvanias, it places a large focus on exploration and traversal, rewarding backtracking and thorough players. By exploring the cursed city of Mount Qaf, you’ll find numerous ways to upgrade Sargon, the player character.

Amulets are arguably the most useful collectibles you’ll find in the game, as they upgrade Sargon in a variety of ways, ranging from simple stat boosts to entirely new abilities.

Furthermore, there are a lot of amulets in the game; some are more useful than others, but their varied nature means you can make combinations that fit your unique playstyle and focus on how you like to play the game.

In this article, I will go over the best amulets you can equip in the late game so that even the toughest of enemies will feel like low-level fodder.

Shield of Mithra

Effect: A successful parry creates a small time bubble, slowing all enemies within it.

Cost: Three

How to Get: Reward for completing the Ancient Power Unearthed side quest.

Pros:

  • Turns good defense into easy offense
  • Due to being an area of effect ability, parrying just one enemy can trap the rest.
  • Makes parrying even more effective

Parrying is something you should learn, as it is one of the most rewarding mechanics in the game. This amulet makes it even more rewarding by letting you turn your defense into easy offense. Furthermore, upgrading the Shield of Mithra increases the radius of the time bubble, allowing you to trap even more enemies.

Will of Rostam

Effect: Slightly increase the power of standard sword attacks

Cost: Two

How to Get: Inside a chest in the eastern section of Sacred Archives.
Once you are at the room with the fast-travel point, head east to the room where the Jailer roams. You’ll find the chest at the end of a hallway, hidden out of sight.

Pros:

  • Increases base damage
  • Great combination with other damage-increasing amulets and a must-have for offensive builds.

One of the more straighforward amulets in the game, the Will of Rostam, increases your base damage. Combining this with other damage-increasing amulets such as Elusive Water, Blade Dancer, and Four Royal Stars will turn you into an offensive powerhouse and turn enemies into fodder.

Mount Damavand

Effect: Slightly decrease the power of incoming melee attacks

Cost: 3

How to Get: Purchase from Kaheva in exchange for 450 Time Crystals

Pros:

  • Increases survivability in a game where health replenishment is few and far between

Another straightforward amulet. However, I’d argue this is more valuable than Will of Rostam simply due to the fact there aren’t a lot of amulets that increase your defense. Furthermore, healing is rare in this game, as you have a limited number of potions between Wak-Wak trees and not a lot of health to boot.

Void Blade

Effect: Send an energy wave in the direction of attack, dealing slight damage. Can be used again after some time without attacking

Cost: Two

How to Get: Located inside a chest on the top side of the Upper City area below the Wak-Wak tree on the plateau. You cannot get to this area without the double jump ability.

Pros:

  • Gives the ability to poke at tough enemies from a distance, giving a risk-free attack.

Another offensive amulet gives you another ranged option along with your bow and chakram. Though the energy wave does not do a lot of damage, an attack from a safe distance is very valuable, especially against tough enemies and bosses.

Blade Dancer

Effect: Land a fourth attack at the end of a standard combo

Cost: Two

How to Get: This amulet is very easy to get, as you’ll receive it while playing the main story. Varham will give it you once you join forces with him during the third mission.

Pros:

  • Increased melee damage
  • Increased stunlock

Although you can get this amulet very early in the game and very easily, it will remain useful throughout your playthrough. It increases your damage and, more importantly, increases the time you can trap an enemy in stunlock.

Four Royal Stars

Effect: Slightly increases all melee damage in the air.

Cost: Two

How to Get: You can find this amulet in the upper city; from the top of the citadel elevator, head left and climb up, then continue left past the traps to find a chest in the corner.

Pros:

  • Increased damage
  • Has a lot of utility, as you’ll spend a lot of time in the air during combat.

Another amulet you can get pretty early, the Four Royal Stars is arguably the amulet that will see the most use. This is because you’ll spend a lot of time in the air during combat, jumping, juggling enemies, and dash canceling.

Gleaming Lion

Effect: Slightly Increases Athra build-up for each successful parry.

Cost: Two

How to Get: Inside a Chest in the Lower City. The Scrapper sells a key for 3 Xerxes Coin which lets you access the hidden floor with the chest. You can access the hidden floor with the main elevator.

Pros:

  • Makes parries even more rewarding
  • Allows for more frequent usage of Athra abilities

Athra abilities are extremely helpful, especially when you’re struggling to get in attacks on an enemy. The Gleaming Lion turns your parries into an Athra Battery, allowing you to charge up Athra more effectively.
