Riot has revealed that one of the upcoming champions is going to be a fan-favorite Arcane character, Ambessa Medarda.
During League of Legends 10th anniversary, Riot revealed some of the upcoming League of Legends-related projects. One of them was a web series known as Arcane.
As stated before, Arcane is a web series made by Fortiche Productions and published by Riot Games on Netflix. This show was based on League of Legends and was centered around the fictional city of Piltover and Zaun. Additionally, it focused on the conflicts within the city and fleshing out the lore of some of the existing characters of League of Legends.
Arcane was a surprising success. Even now, it currently boasts a 100% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It was a surprise even for Riot themselves as they didn’t anticipate this much positive reaction.
With that said, Arcane also introduced some of its own characters as well. These characters were also influential as existing League of Legends characters.
Not too long ago, Riot wanted to merge the Canon League universe with the existing Arcane lore. Even though the changes didn’t come immediately, a lot of them are planned to come in 2024. With that said, Riot has revealed one of the first Arcane characters who is coming to League of Legends as a champion, and she is Ambessa Medarda.
