Embark Studios is making a major change to ARC Raiders’ progression and reward systems, confirming that the existing Cred currency will be retired with the Frozen Trail update. Players have until October 8, 2026, to use any Cred currently sitting in their accounts before the currency permanently expires.
The change comes as Embark prepares to overhaul Raider Decks and introduce a more expansive reward system as part of Frozen Trail, which is shaping up to be the biggest ARC Raiders update since launch.

ARC Raiders Cred Will Expire on October 8
Embark confirmed the change in the ARC Raiders Live Update 1.45.0 patch notes, explaining that Cred will remain usable until October 8.
Once Frozen Trail goes live, however, any Cred remaining on a player’s account will expire. This means players who have been saving their currency should start deciding how they want to spend it before the deadline.
Embark specifically recommends spending remaining Cred with Shani or using it to unlock any outstanding Raider Deck rewards.
Frozen Trail Will Introduce a New Reward System
Cred is not simply disappearing without a replacement. Embark says the currency is being retired as part of a larger Raider Deck rework that will introduce a more expansive reward system with the Frozen Trail update.
Existing Raider Deck rewards will remain available through the new system, while anything players have already claimed will remain in their collection after the update.
The exact structure of the replacement system has not yet been fully detailed, but Embark has previously said that Frozen Trail will deepen ARC Raiders’ progression systems and make Raider Decks more engaging and rewarding.
Spend Your ARC Raiders Cred Before Frozen Trail
October 8 is the final date to use Cred, and there does not appear to be any automatic conversion of leftover Cred into the new currency or reward system.
Frozen Trail launches on October 8, 2026, bringing a new map, new ARC threats, a high-level ARC Operation, the Outpost progression system, Skill Tree changes, and the revamped rewards structure.
If you still have Cred saved up, spending it before Frozen Trail arrives is the safest option.
