Apex Legends Season 28 is set to deliver a significant gameplay transformation, featuring substantial Legend changes, the return of popular weapon hop-ups, and essential balance adjustments throughout the sandbox. Not every change transforms the meta entirely, but the significant updates focus on enhancing the aggression of fights, increasing the pace, and making it much more challenging to adopt a defensive stance.

With powerful new items and a revitalised focus on recon play, Season 28’s patch notes are designed to empower squads, providing them with innovative strategies to shatter stalemates and transform minor advantages into decisive team wipes.

Apex Legends Season 28 Patch Notes

Fuse Rework Brings Mobility and Stronger Zone Control

FUSE REWORK IN SEASON 28:

▫ Knuckle Jumper Upgrade to leap past enemy defenses
▫ A reworked Ultimate built to flush out dug-in squads
▫ Pyro Techniques Upgrade to drop flames from the Ultimate
▫ Reignition Upgrade that recharges the Ultimate through explosive damage

New Fuse perks

  • Pyro Techniques: Creates fire patches from the explosions during The Motherlode
  • Knuckle Jumper: Fuse gets an explosive boost off of his own Knuckle Clusters
  • Reignition: Recharges your ultimate as you deal explosive damage

Fuse is one of the best parts of Season 28. His update makes him better at making plays and forcing enemies to move. The new Knuckle Jumper upgrade lets Fuse jump over defences, which makes him a lot more dangerous when he’s pushing buildings or getting closer to enemies in chaotic third-party conflicts. His Ultimate has also been changed such that dug-in squads can’t stay in cover without being pushed out.

The buffs make Fuse’s damage and control more constant. Pyro Techniques lets him drop flames directly from the Ultimate, making area denial more dependable. Reignition speeds up the recharge of his Ultimate, which enables him keep up the pressure across multiple battles.

Bloodhound and Catalyst Buffs, Returning Hop-Ups, and Marksman Nerfs

BLOODHOUND BUFF IN SEASON 28

▫ Faster, more fluid Tactical scans
▫ Significantly reduced Ultimate cooldown
▫ Scoring a knock during the Ultimate extends the hunt
▫ Raven’s Flight for extended White Raven range
▫ Taste of Blood, granting healing on knock during the Ultimate

New Bloodhound Perks ‼

  • Taste of Blood: Regenerate 50 HP per knock while the ultimate is active
  • Raven’s Flight (Lvl 2): Doubles raven ping distance
  • Hunter’s Agility (Lvl 3): Faster tactical activation, ideal for close-quarters combat

Bloodhound is getting real buffs that will make their recon pressure feel smoother and more lethal. Tactical scans are quicker and smoother, the Ultimate cooldown is much shorter, and getting a knock during the Ultimate prolongs the hunt, rewarding players who enter confidently and follow up cleanly. Raven’s Flight makes White Raven’s range longer, and Taste of Blood gives extra sustain by healing Bloodhound when he knocks someone out during the Ultimate. This lets Bloodhound stay active longer in protracted fights.

CATALYST BUFF IN SEASON 28

▫ Piercing Spikes can be thrown further and trigger faster
▫ Hidden Spikes remain concealed until activation
▫ Sole Piercer increases trigger speed and damage
▫ Dark Veil Ultimate can now deploy horizontally, sealing chokepoints and reducing incoming bullet damage by 50%

Catalyst also sees big changes that make her traps stronger and more useful for defence. For example, Piercing Spikes throw farther and trigger faster, and Hidden Spikes stay hidden until they are activated. The Sole Piercer update makes triggers faster and more powerful. Dark Veil now has a new way to be deployed: it can travel horizontally to shut chokepoints while cutting incoming bullet damage in half, making it considerably terrifying to go through.

Along with these Legend adjustments, returning hop-ups will add variety again. For example, the Mastiff will get Dual Shell, the Peacekeeper will get Disruptor Rounds, while the EVA-8 Auto will get Double Tap. Marksman weapons are getting nerfed to make things fairer. The Bocek, Triple Take, and 30-30 all have less firing rate and power, which should cut down on long-range spam and make aggressive pushes more possible.
