Apex Legends is a free-to-play hero shooter battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment. The game is a spinoff of the Titanfall franchise. Although the game plays like a battle royale, all the characters in Apex Legends have abilities that make them and the game unique from others of the same genre.
Since it came out, Apex Legends has seen constant changes and improvements to the game mechanics and system. The same thing will happen with the release of Apex Legends Season 13, ‘Saviors.’ Apex Legends Season 13 ‘Saviors’ is coming out soon. New Custom Match System
How It Works
Previously, we had private matches where up to 60 players and five observers could join. Players could use this feature to host private tournaments and scrims. But it lacked some quality-of-life improvements that Respawn will add in the new Season 13.
The previous Private Matches will be called the Custom Match System in Season 13 and feature the following QOL improvements. These include UI changes, match flow improvements, etc.
- Custom Match QOL improvements:
- UI & design improvements
- Custom Match now saves Team Names & Match Settings when returning from match to lobby.
- Match flow improvements.
- Added new launch parameters to pre-select viewing targets for Observer.
- Updated the color pallet used by Observers when viewing teams (Map Overview + Highlights)
- Additionally, fixed the color duplication issue previously seen on the map overview.
- Updated the Team Eliminated Text with a unique color for Anonymous Mode in Custom Match.
Release Date
The new Custom Match System will come out with the release of the new Apex Legends Season 13. So, we can expect to be able to create Custom Matches starting from May 10, 2022.
