Respawn Entertainment has taken another major step toward cleaning up Apex Legends Ranked, suspending 258 Predator players for account sharing. The enforcement specifically targeted high-ranked console accounts that were allegedly being accessed across multiple devices to gain an unfair advantage on the Predator leaderboard.
All affected players have received 60-day suspensions, while Ranked Points connected to the offending accounts will also be removed. The action follows an investigation by the Apex Legends Anti-Cheat team into unusually long Ranked play sessions reported by the community.

Apex Legends Suspends 258 Predator Players
According to Respawn’s Competitive Integrity Update published on September 18, the investigation began after community members reported Predator accounts maintaining unusually long and continuous Ranked sessions.
The Anti-Cheat team then reviewed login activity and device information connected to high-ranked accounts. Respawn says it discovered accounts being accessed through multiple distinct devices in patterns consistent with account sharing.
The investigation focused specifically on console players and resulted in 258 Predator players being suspended for 60 days.
The full enforcement breakdown is:
PlayStation
A total of 115 PlayStation Predator players were suspended:
- 92 were found frequently sharing their accounts
- 2 were found sharing their accounts across five or more devices
- 21 were found both frequently sharing and using five or more devices
Xbox
A total of 143 Xbox Predator players were suspended:
- 124 were found frequently sharing their accounts
- 2 were found sharing their accounts across five or more devices
- 17 were found both frequently sharing and using five or more devices
This is particularly significant at Predator rank. Apex Predator represents the top 750 Master-ranked players per platform, meaning account sharing can directly affect who earns and maintains a place on one of the game’s most competitive leaderboards.
Ranked Points Will Also Be Removed
The punishment does not end with the temporary suspensions.
Respawn confirmed that all associated Ranked Points will be removed from accounts found participating in account sharing. So, that means affected accounts could lose the progress that helped them reach or maintain their Predator leaderboard positions.
EA’s Apex Legends rules also warn players against sharing account credentials. The publisher states that account information should not be shared with other people and that unauthorized account leveling or boosting services can put an account at risk of enforcement.
Respawn says it will continue monitoring Ranked activity and taking action against players attempting to gain an unfair advantage through account sharing or other forms of abuse.
Respawn Addresses Apex Legends Bot Royale False Ban Reports
Respawn also responded to community claims suggesting some recent bans were incorrectly issued to players while they were playing Bot Royale.
The Anti-Cheat team reviewed the accounts brought forward by the community and performed additional validation of the enforcement actions.
According to Respawn, the review found that the bans were valid and the accounts were correctly actioned, meaning the reported Bot Royale cases were not false positives based on the company’s investigation.
Respawn added that it takes potential false-ban reports seriously and will continue reviewing credible cases submitted by players.
