Badges are another simple mechanic that drastically changes how the game is played, a formula Nintendo is known for and most widely used in Super Mario games, a series that has remained an example of how games can be deep without being complex, and Super Mario Bro. Wonder is no exception.
Badges are equipable items and give you access to a wide range of new moves and skills. They come in three forms.
- Action Badges – Lets you perform new moves by pressing the R button.
- Boost Badges – Add passive effects.
- Expert Badges – These are powerful badges that are meant to be used by experienced players, as the name suggests. You can only unlock Expert Badges after beating the game once.
In total, there are 24 badges.
This guide is all about Badges, their effects, and how to unlock them.
