Everything about customizing your player character in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the newest entry in Ubisoft’s long-running action-adventure series. After the series’ new direction with its recent entries received polarizing reviews, Ubisoft looks to bring the series back to its roots with Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

The game promises a return to the type of gameplay that players fell in love with in the earlier entries of the series. This includes more stealth-based gameplay, parkour, and a relatively more linear story than the open world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Furthermore, it also brings a deep level of customization to the player character, Basim. Combining the deep customization of the recent entries, such as Origins, with smaller features, such as being able to dye your clothing, from Assassin’s Creed 2.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage has a lot of customization options for Basim, ranging from his outfit to his weapons. This guide aims to inform you of every character customization option you have in the game.

Basim’s Outfit

Basim’s outfit has different sections you can work with, offering detailed customization to allow every player to make a truly unique-looking Basim. Furthermore, your outfit can also give you bonus perks that help in combat or stealth.

You can also upgrade your outfits at a tailor. However, you’ll need upgrade materials and an outfit’s upgrade schematic to do this.

Outfits can be acquired from Gear Chests that can be found throughout the game. Additionally, you can also get outfits by completing missions. There are also some outfits that are locked behind a paywall and have to be bought from the Animus store.

Compared to Valhalla, Mirage focuses on style over stats when it comes to customizing outfits. This will allow players to wear outfits they actually like rather than picking the “meta” options.

Outfit dyes alter the color of your outfit. Much like the rest of the customization, it is purely cosmetic. These are the parts of the outfit you can customize:

Headgear

Basim’s headgear is split into two types:

  • Turban
  • Hood

Both his turban and his hood can be customized and dyed. Additionally, you can keep his hood on or off to fit your aesthetic choices.

Chest Gear

You might be familiar with chest gear from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However, it is not an RPG-style item in Mirage. This means that it does not bring any stat changes or perks. Rather, it is a cosmetic item that you can dye to alter the look.

Bracelet

Basim’s bracelet is also split into two types: the bracelet itself and the hidden blade.

  • Trousers
  • Gloves
  • Cloaks
  • Talisman

Additionally, there are costumes, which are outfit overlays that are worn over the outfit Basim is currently wearing. It is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay much like the rest of the outfit customization options. These costumes include outfits worn by protagonists of the previous games.

Basim’s Weapons

Basim’s weapons include swords, daggers, bows and arrows, and small spears. These weapons also contain bonus perks that make you more effective in combat. Furthermore, every weapon you acquire can be upgraded twice at the blacksmith.

To upgrade a weapon, you’ll need upgrade materials and the weapon’s upgrade schematic. Weapons can be found in treasure chests throughout the game and also acquired by finishing missions.

Once you acquire a weapon, you’ll be able to use it as a cosmetic overlay. This means you can have the stats of one sword and the looks of another, allowing you to focus on style. Furthermore, you can also dye your swords to add more flair.

To change your weapon’s appearance, you’ll need to visit a blacksmith. Once, talk to the blacksmith to access the shop menu, and the Appearance tab will appear as the second tab on the right-hand side.

Basim’s Eagle and Mount

Both Basim’s Eagle and Mount can be altered at the stable. These changes, too, are purely cosmetic, allowing to bring some flair when exploring the city of Baghdad.

To change the look of your eagle or mount, make your way to one stables scattered throughout the city.

There, talk to the stable master to open the stable menu and access the cosmetic options available for your eagle and mount. Additionally, you can also buy new eagles and mounts from the stable master themselves.
