Riot Games to nerf Aatrox, Olaf, Darius, Nunu, Maokai Support, Akali, and Elise in League of Legends patch 11.2.
After the 2021 preseason changes, Riot had to push multiple balance updates to fix the “overpowered” champions. However, with so many new items and build paths, some champions are still outperforming others in season 11.
And now, League of Legends Gameplay Design Director Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has previewed LoL Patch 11.2. And it seems Aatrox, Olaf, Darius, Nunu, Maokai Support, Akali, and Elise are getting nerfs in the second patch of season 11.
Aatrox Nerf Patch 11.2

In the preseason, healing and healing reduction received multiple changes. Many players think there are so many healings that every champion now needs some kind of healing reduction. As Aatrox’s kit favors healing items even more, Riot Games is shifting its power away from the healing amp.
Olaf Nerf Patch 11.2

- Lifesteal: 14-22 >>> 16-24%
- Healing amplification: 0-50 >>> 0-33% based on missing health
The situation of Olaf is pretty much the same as Aatrox, where he also benefits from extra healing from items. Moreover, currently, Olaf has a massive 53.19% win rate in the soloq with an over 20% ban rate in the jungle. Therefore, Olaf will see some nerfs in patch 11.2.
Darius Nerf Patch 11.2
Passive: Noxian might bonus AD: 30-230 >>> 20-205
Darius is currently one of the most dominant Top laner in League of Legends and has the highest win rate among any top laners. Furthermore, he also has a 34.5% ban rate in Plat+ Elo. Hence, Riot is nerfing Darius in patch 11.2.
Nunu Nerf Patch 11.2
- Movement Speed: 345 >>> 340
- HP: 580 >>> 540
With the help of Phase Rush, Nunu & Willump has been a monster of a jungler in the last few patches. He has been maintaining a steady 53%+ win rate in the jungle for the last couple of patches while having an above 8% pick rate. And now, for the upcoming patch 11.2, Nunu is set to receive a nerf.
Maokai Support Nerf Patch 11.2

- Damage AP ratio: 1% per 100 AP >>> 0.8% per 100 AP
Because of his insane amount of CC on top of the Imperial Mandate and AP build, Maokai has been a terror in the bot lane. He is winning against pretty much any other support champions in the bot lane, making him a target for the patch 11.2 nerf list.
Akali Nerf Patch 11.2

There can’t be a better duo than Akali and League of Legends’ balance team. No matter how many times Riot balances her, she somehow manages to be relevant in the meta. Currently, her win rate might be just 46.79%, but on the right hand, she is pretty much a 1v9 carry champion. And no wonder Riot is nerfing her again in patch 11.2.
Elise Nerf Patch 11.2

Even without any kind of buffs in season 10 and 2021 preseason, Elise has managed to become one of the highest win-rate jungle champions in League of Legends patch 11.1. So, before she starts to take over the early game even more, Riot is nerfing her in patch 11.2.
