Halo Infinite finally saw a much-needed price reduction to cosmetic items in the online store after massive backlash from the Halo community.
With the launch of Halo Infinite, 343 Industries nailed almost every aspect of Halo for the next generation of consoles. Top-class physics-based first-person shooter mechanics paired with 343’s incredible storytelling prowess brought Master Chief to the next generation of gaming.
While both the critical and public reaction to this massive franchise has been overwhelmingly positive, almost everyone agreed that the pricing structure of Halo’s first foray into the live service model left a lot to be desired.

The general consensus among both critic and die-hard fans were really simple. 343 needs to reduce the overall pricing structure of all the cosmetic items that are currently available in the game.
Cosmetic items see a price reduction
Following many complaints from the Halo community, 343 finally obliged and made some improvements to the cosmetic store. As of writing, 343 has made some adjustments to the shop. Their focus this week is on reducing the prices of their weekly bundles.
“In the future, you’ll see changes to daily bundles, items being offered individually, and more.”, says John Junyszek, Senior Community Manager at 343 Industries.
According to the representative of 343 Industries, reducing the price of the weekly bundle is just the beginning. More changes related to individual pricing of these cosmetic items are coming in the near future.
This change was revealed alongside the free “CYBER SHOWDOWN” event. This event intends to introduce more customizable cosmetic items in the game for both old and new players in the Halo community.
