Riot has officially revealed the upcoming Zilean skin, Winterblessed Zilean, which will release on patch 12.21.
There are many skins in League of Legends. The aspect that makes all of these skins unique is their themes. Some popular themes include futuristic skins (Project, Steel Valkyries, etc.), Anime skins (Battle Academia, Star Guardian), etc. However, one of the most sought-after skins in League of Legends is the winter-themed skin.
From the beginning of League of Legends in 2009, Riot Games have released various winter-themed skins. Furthermore, that year, Riot released Snow Bunny Nidalee, Workshop Nunu, Happy Elf Teemo, etc. And since then, until 2019, Riot has released winter-themed skins annually. In 2019, we saw the release of the Sugar Rush skin line.
But in 2020 and 2021, we did not receive any winter-themed or Christmas-themed skins in League of Legends. Many fans were disappointed as they wanted their favorite champion to have winter skin.
Because of this, Riot has officially revealed the winter-themed skin line for 2022, Winterblessed. This new skin line will feature 7 different skins. Moreover, one of the new skins is Winterblessed Zilean.
Zilean is one of the oldest champions in League of Legends. He was released in the beta in 2009. Moreover, he has never received any visual overhaul since then. Because of this, he never receives any memorable skins. After the release of the Caitlyn ASU, many people want to see Zilean receive a similar visual rework.
Even though Zilean was released over a decade ago, he only has 6 skins. Furthermore, he only has one epic skin, Sugar Rush Zilean. The rest of his skins are priced at 975RP and below.
