Riot has officially revealed the upcoming skin that will receive a prestige edition, Winterblessed Warwick, which will release on patch 12.23.
There are many skins in League of Legends. All of these skins have unique themes to them. One of the most prominent themes for skins is the winter theme.
From the beginning of League of Legends in 2009, Riot Games have released various winter-themed skins. Furthermore, that year, Riot released Snow Bunny Nidalee, Workshop Nunu, Happy Elf Teemo, etc. And since then, until 2019, Riot has released winter-themed skins annually. In 2019, we saw the release of the Sugar Rush skin line.
But in 2020 and 2021, we did not receive any winter-themed or Christmas-themed skins in League of Legends. Many fans were disappointed as they wanted their favorite champion to have winter skin.
Because of this, Riot has officially revealed the winter-themed skin line for 2022, Winterblessed. This new skin line will feature 7 different skins. One of the skins is the Winterblessed Warwick skin. Furthermore, Winterblessed Warwick will also have a prestige edition as well.
Warwick is one of the oldest champions in League of Legends, Released in 2009. But even back then, his gameplay and kit were straightforward. Unfortunately, his kit became outdated as the game got older and refined. So in January 2017, he received his long-awaited VGU. Warwick’s VGU was a huge success. Moreover, People nowadays still regard Warwick’s VGU as one of the best VGU in the game, next to Fiddlesticks and Nunu’s VGU.
Warwick has a total of 13 skins. However, he has neither legendary nor prestige skin for being an old and fan-favorite champion. Because of this, Riot decided that Warwick would receive the next prestige skin.
