Riot has introduced a new Elder Dragon variant, Hextech Elder Dragon, with new abilities. Here is everything you need to know.
Patch 5.2 is probably the biggest Wild Rift update we have received in a while. It included tons of unique additions that we had never seen before, like Hextech Baron, T-Hex, new objectives, etc. Not only that, but the Hextech Portal also works differently compared to its PC counterpart.
Just like patch 5.2, Riot is aiming for patch 5.3 to be like the previous one. Moreover, since this patch will be coming out at the same time as Arcane Season 2, they want to make this season better than ever before.
Recently, Riot has officially released the patch preview for the upcoming season. In this preview, they have shown off many upcoming additions to Wild Rift. Some of them are Hextech or Arcane-themed. Additionally, one of these Hextech additions is the new Hextech Elder Dragon.

Wild Rift: Hextech Elder Dragon

From the next patch, the Elder Dragon will boast a new look. Alongside the new looks, it also has some completely new abilities. In addition to granting you the old Elder Dragon buffs, it also grants you Hextech-infused Elder Dragon Soul. This soul is a fusion between the Hextech Soul from PC League of Legends where it gives you Statikk Shiv passive for free. For context, taking down a minion or damaging an opponent will do chain damage to enemies up to 500 units.
With this soul, upon damaging an opponent, you deal chain damage to the 3 closest opponents in certain units. With the true damage benefits and low health executes, this will make the late game more chaotic than ever in Wild Rift.
Release Date
The upcoming Hextech Elder Dragon will be coming to the game on patch 5.3, scheduled for October 17, 2024
