As Split 2 of League of Legends season 14 is coming to an end, here’s when Split 3 will begin.
Ranked is one of the main ways players play League of Legends. In this mode, players play traditional League of Legends with stakes as their ranks. If they lose they lose their points and once enough points are lost, they lose their rank. Similarly, if they win, they gain points and then get to higher ranks. For many players, it is their main way of progression in the game.
During season 13, Riot made changes to the ranked system where there would be only two splits. Moreover, after each split, there would be a soft rank reset. Depending on the placement of each split, players could even get rewards. Not only that, but since that season, players could get the Victorious skins, even at Iron rank if they played enough.
Now in season 14, Riot has brought back 3 rank splits per season but kept the rest, like how soft reset works and ways you could earn the victorious skins. With 3 rank splits, players can have more chance of getting to their desired ranks.
Since the end of Split 2 is not too far away from now, here’s when the next split will begin.

LoL Season 14 Split 3 Start Date
Split 3 of season 14 will start right after the end of split 2. The Season 14 Split 2 will end on September 24, 2024. Therefore, Split 3 will begin on September 25, 2024, right after the deployment of patch 14.19.
Eligible players should receive their Victorious Sona skin right after the end of Split 2. So if you haven’t reached your goals by then, you still get another shot in Split 3.
