A leak on Reddit suggests that Warzone 2 is getting a brand new map called Resurgence, and the Warzone community is pretty hyped about it. Of course, we are also hyped, so let’s talk about the alleged new map.

Warzone 2 is a free-to-play battle royale that now features a brand-new map, Al Mazrah. Join forces with your friends and jump into a sprawling battleground in the metropolitan area and rural outskirts of the Republic of Adal. Discover supply boxes and complete contracts to build your arsenal and gain a tactical advantage.

After CoD: MW 2, Activision released the reincarnation of the previously famous prequel Warzone to let players experience the CoD and battle royale in one package. Since the launch of this new game, there has been a massive rush in the Warzone player base.

Although the battle royale mode in the Warzone franchise is quite old, DMZ and other game mods are a completely new concept in Warzone 2. However, Activision is trying hard to keep this hype alive, and they are already planning to release a new map in the upcoming season.

Activision already confirmed the new map called Resurgence, but they haven’t shown what it will look like and what theme it will follow. Although CoD always try to make a middle east themed map like Al Mazrah, they are going with a different approach this time.

The leak suggests that this map will be an island map that features entire city infrastructures like the town center, power plant, water treatment plant, port, etc. This map is quite different from other Warzone maps because it has a greenish vibe with some trees and bushes around the map.

New Game Modes

Warzone 2 already has some new game modes like DMZ, and with this new map, we will see some other game modes with different game mechanics. It’s a good thing that Activision is trying something new, and they are not going to follow the same typical battle royale modes.

New map-supported game modes:

  • Resurgence (~50 Players) mode
  • 1x ground war area 924vs24)
  • DMZ

While introducing some new game modes and mechanics is a good thing, It always begs the question of whether the player base will like it or not. However, if these modes can retain the attention of the CoD community, then Warzone 2 will undoubtedly live a long life.

Note: This information is coming from leaks and data miners. Additionally, it has not been confirmed by Activision.
