Warzone 2.0 Season 2 will introduce changes to DMZ AI and Mission Difficulty. The devs are tuning AI and Mission difficulty after repeated player feedback.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the revamped Warzone experience in Modern Warfare 2 engine. The newly designed battle royale features new guns, field upgrades, equipment, a backpack, and a looting system.

Warzone 2.0 features a brand new extraction game mode, DMZ. DMZ is based on the same map as its BR counterpart. However, the map is flooded with AI combatants, and players can receive missions granting contraband or high-tier loot.

DMZ AI and Mission Difficulty Tuning

The AI combatants deployed in DMZ’s Al Mazrah are too difficult to eliminate for many players. They have high accuracy and damage output, making it difficult for players to kill them when they get attacked by waves of a faction.

From player feedback, Infinity Ward has decided to tune down the AI difficulty. Starting from Season 2, AI spawns will cut down, and their accuracy will get a nerf for long-range gunfights making it easier for most players to work around them during their time in Al Mazrah.

Enemy Tuning

Faction missions have also been tuned down for the beginning stages, however, it will still remain challenging for the later tiers as they provide access to the third insured slot. This change is being made to ensure every player can work towards their second insured slot without the missions being too aggressive.

Mission Difficulty Tuning

These changes are being made to strengthen the quality of life in DMZ. DMZ is the most popular game mode in terms of player reception in-game and streaming sites like YouTube and Twitch. So, QoL changes will only ensure player retention for DMZ.
