VALORANT’s 23rd Agent Deadlock’s Abilities and First Look Have Been Revealed

VALORANT’s 23rd Agent Deadlock is one of the most hyped and anticipated Sentinels. Thanks to the Riot Games and leakers, we finally have a glimpse of her look and abilities.

The introduction of new agents not only adds depth to VALORANT‘s gameplay but also ensures a constantly evolving meta, keeping players engaged and striving for mastery.

In the latest “State of the Agents” video by Riot Games, the character producer for VALORANT, John Goscicki, talked about various topics, such as the future plan and balance of the game. Moreover, the developer shed light on the 3 Agents that would be released in 2023.

The first Agent of 2023, Gekko, was released in Episode 6 Act 2. And as Riot Games claimed, the next Agent would be a Sentinel. Although there had been several speculations regarding the Agent’s look, abilities, and origin, nothing concrete was revealed except for the Agent’s name, Deadlock. Nonetheless, thanks to Riot Games and leakers, we finally have more information on Deadlock’s look and abilities.

Deadlock Abilities

Here are all the Deadlock abilities:

Sonic Sensor (Q)

Equip a Sonic Sensor. FIRE to deploy. The sensor monitors an area for enemies that make sounds. It causes a concussion in that area if footsteps, gunfire, or significant noise are detected.

Barrier Mesh (E)

Equip a Barrier Mesh disk. FIRE to launch forward. When touching the ground, the disk generates barriers from the point of origin that block the movement of the characters.

GravNet (C)

Equip a GravNet grenade. FIRE to launch. ALTERNATIVE FIRE to launch the grenade from below. The GravNet explodes when it hits the ground, forcing enemies caught inside it to crouch and move slowly.

Annihilation (X) / Ultimate

Equip a Nanowire Accelerator. FIRE to release a pulse of nanowires that captures the first enemy hit. The captured enemy is pulled along a path of nanowires and will die if they reach the end unless freed. The nanowire cocoon is destructible.
