Upcoming Characters in Genshin Impact 5.5
Varesa – 5-Star Electro Catalyst
After years of speculation, the “cow girl” character has been confirmed! Varesa is an Electro catalyst user, featuring a dynamic, plunge-attack-based DPS playstyle. Her design, featuring prominent horns, sets her apart from other characters. With Electro DPS options being limited, she could potentially shake up the meta, rivaling the likes of Cyno and Keqing.

Ifa – 4-Star Dendro(Pet Companion Character)
The final male character of the Natlan cycle, bringing a unique twist to the game with his pet companion, which many compare to Ajax’s mechanics.
As the designated doctor of the Suerians, he is speculated to be a support or sub-DPS, likely providing healing or buffs. His official kit remains undisclosed, but early leaks suggest he might introduce new pet-based gameplay features.
Dahlia – 4-Star Mondstadt Support
Mondstadt has been starved of new characters for ages, but 5.6 is set to change that with Dahlia’s arrival. A Deacon of the Church of Favonius, Dahlia has been referenced by Rosaria, hinting at his significance.
His playstyle remains a mystery, but given his religious background, many speculate that he will be a team-wide buffer or healer, similar to Bennett or Mika.
Akkefa – 5-Star Fontaine Chef
Fontaine’s latest addition, Akkefa, was teased during the Fontaine livestream, leaving players intrigued about her role.
While her official abilities remain unknown, her connection to Fontaine’s culinary world raises speculation about food-related passives or unique cooking mechanics.
