Upcoming Characters in Genshin Impact 5.4
Mizuki – 5-Star Anemo Standard Banner Character
Mizuki, an elegant warrior from Inazuma, is set to debut in version 5.4. According to the official gameplay reveal and trailer, she will be an Anemo user with a focus on swirl-based buffs. There were rumors that she will join the standard banner pull, filling the gap for an Inazuman character in the non-limited pool, and Hooverse has also confirmed this in their discussion.

Upcoming Characters in Genshin Impact 5.5
3 new characters are going to be introduced in this patch.
Ifa – 4-Star
It is surprising, but Ifa is expected to be the last male character introduced in the Natlan patch. While not much is known about his combat mechanics, leaks suggest he will have a pet companion, making his playstyle somewhat similar to Ajax. Given his role in the story as doctor for Suerians, Ifa will likely be a healer, support, or sub-DPS character.
Varesa – 5-Star Electro (Cow Girl)
A long-standing rumor has finally been confirmed—Genshin Impact is getting a “cow girl” character in 5.5. Varesa, a 5-star Electro character, is expected to shake up the meta, potentially rivaling past DPS giants. With only Ganyu previously sporting horns, her design is sure to stand out.
Iansan – 4-Star or 5-Star Electro Polearm
The long-awaited Iansan from the Natlan reveal trailer will finally arrive in 5.5. She has been confirmed as an Electro Vision wielder who prefers a polearm. While there is some debate regarding her rarity, I believe she will be a 5-star character given her significance in the Natlan story. However, since Ningguang was also introduced in the same teaser and ended up as a 4-star, it’s best to keep expectations in check until further leaks surface.

Dahlia – 4-Star Support from Mondstadt
It’s been too long since Mondstadt received a major character update, but 5.6 will finally change that with the arrival of Dahlia. He is the Deacon of the Church of Favonius and has been mentioned in passing by characters like Rosaria. While his kit remains unknown, many speculate he will be a dedicated support, possibly offering team-wide buffs or healing.
Fontaine Chef – Akkefa
The Fontaine livestream revealed a silhouette of an upcoming chef character, sparking speculation that she may debut in 5.6. While very little is known, her role as a chef raises hopes that she might bring unique cooking-related mechanics to the game, much like Xiangling’s past introduction. There are rumors that she will have assassin-like abilities.
This wraps up all the currently known and speculated characters coming in versions 5.4 through 5.6. With every region usually introducing around 16 new characters per cycle, these additions help round out Natlan’s roster while bringing long-awaited figures from other nations.
