Want to know about the characters in the upcoming patches of Genshin? Here I’ve listed every upcoming character in Genshin Impact 5.1 to 5.2!
With the release of Natlan in version 5.0, Genshin Impact officially enters its 5th region. And with the new region, everyone is expecting new characters to be introduced especially after so many characters were teased in the Natlan trailer and the Archon quest.
In this guide, I will cover all the leaks, speculation, and confirmed characters that will be coming in versions 5.1 to 5.2. Keep in mind, that only 1 new character introduction was confirmed by Hoyoverse, the rest are speculations, leaks, and some calculations based on their banner release behavior. Therefore, take all of these with a large grain of salt!
Characters Coming in Version 5.1
Xilolen
One of the characters that are confirmed to make their appearance in version 5.1 is Xilolen. She will be the only new Natlan character who will get her banner in 5.1. Her kit is rumored to significantly buff a team’s performance except for dendro and Anemo units.
Similar to other Natlan characters, she will also have a unique traversal ability that targets to improve the movement in high terrains especially mountains and difficult rocky pathways throughout Natlan. You can find more details, in our possible leaks section, here.
Xiolen’s banner is rumored to be in the first half of 5.1 but that can be subject to change.
Chiori
If all goes according to the calculations, the last remaining character (Wriothesley has been forgotten by Hoyo) from Fontaine who didn’t get her rerun would be Chiori which makes her the perfect candidate to fill the rerun spot in version 5.1. She is a great Geo support unit who can significantly boost your Geo comps, especially in the ones with Navia in the team.
Nahida
A Sumeru-focused festival is in the works for version 5.1, this is also confirmed by the devs through the Genshin impact manga which makes it highly possible for Nahida to have her rerun. Keep in mind that Hoyoverse recently switched their archon lineup (usually Zhongli comes in .0 patches but Raiden came in 5.1). So, they might just throw a curveball and we might end up with Furina instead.
Archons usually show themselves in the second half in their rerun patches. Therefore, Nahida should appear in the second half of 5.1
Hu Tao
Recent leaks suggest that HuTao will join the final phase of version 5.1 banners. This was a bit unexpected as everyone including myself was hoping to see her in Lantern Rite patch, hopefully in the Chronicle Wish banner. But she’s an excellent DPS and can be worth your pulls if you plan to invest!
Characters Coming in Version 5.2
Chasca
Moving on to 5.2, leaks suggest Chasca will be the new 5-star character from Natlan. This patch will also follow the lead of 5.1 and will only have 1 new 5-star character. But the 4-star limited character Ororon is rumored to be released in this patch as well.
From the Archon story quest, we already know that Chasca has an Anemo vision and will be a bow user. But leakers and data miners claim that she has the ability to switch elements with her elemental skill and what’s more she is able to fly. Her flying mechanic is said to be similar to Wanderer’s but significantly better.
Zhongli/Furina
Next on the archon cycle, if the usual pattern was to be followed, we were supposed to get the Pyro Archon in 5.2. But due to Mavuaika (Archon currently shown) being mortal and us not getting the Pyro Traveler yet, we might see archons like Zhongli or Furina make their rerun.
Zhongli seems to be the most obvious choice in this case as Furina had her rerun just back in 4.7 which was 2 patches before.
Kokomi
The last time we got Kokomi’s banner was all the way back in version 3.8. She is a magnificent driver, especially for Dendro Hyperbloom reaction, and a perfect partner to pair up with Nahida if you decide get her. Her value only went up after the release of Furina, therefore, her demand will be very high among the player base making her the perfect choice for the latter half of 5.2.
Arlecchino
One of the strongest DPS in the game, Arlecchino was introduced in patch 4.6 and is indeed for a rerun. With Natlan premium DPS characters like Mavuika on the rise, it is highly suggested that she will make her rerun in the later half of version 5.2.
