xQc’s plan to buy a VALORANT pro team is not a hoax as recent information disclosed that the popular streamer is buying Turtle Troop to compete in the highest level of VALORANT.

A few days back, on March 5, 2023, Félix Lengyel, AKA xQc, shared his plans to enter the eSports scene. Before his career in streaming, xQc competed professionally at the highest level of Overwatch. Therefore, the streamer’s entry into the eSports world isn’t all that out of his comfort zone.

He plans to return to the scene, not as a professional player but as an investor in many different teams. Even more impressive, the Twitch superstar said he had already purchased a professional VALORANT team. On March 9, 2023, VALORIntel also verified the statement.

xQc Signs Turtle Troop and Enters VALORANT Pro Scene

Some Twitch streamers have recently been entering the eSports scene. First, it was Cr1TiKaL who created the benchmark for running a popular eSports organization called Moist Esports. Later, Disguised Toast followed in the same footstep and successfully created and maintained DSG, a renowned VALORANT eSports team.

Following the success, Ludwig also joined the venture alongside Disguised Toast and became the co-owner of DSG. And now, according to Purest, xQc has also bought a VALORANT eSports team to compete with the big guns in the industry.

The source also mentioned that xQc has already signed Turtle Troops, a rising VALORANT team that is currently competing in NA Challenges League. With proper guidance and support, the team has the potential to reach a higher level.

Although the source claimed that the “contracts have not been finalized” between xQc and Turtle Troop yet. But a recent Twitter post from the team indicates that it won’t be too long before we get an official announcement from both parties.
