White House Arcade Turns Trump Policies Into Video Games
Perhaps the most recognizable game is Build the Wall, a block-stacking game clearly inspired by Tetris. Players arrange colorful pieces to construct a barrier while preventing pixelated characters from crossing the border. The official description tells players to “protect the border.”
Rio Run takes inspiration from Snake. Players patrol along the Rio Grande and collect people attempting to cross the southern border, with the game tying the mechanic directly to deportations and the administration’s immigration policies.
Flappy Bird, Tapper, and Tycoon-Inspired Games Are Also Included
The remaining games cover other parts of the Trump administration’s agenda. Supply Line resembles the classic arcade game Tapper and asks players to sort school lunch items according to the administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” standards.
Flappy Bill takes obvious inspiration from Flappy Bird, with players guiding a bald eagle carrying legislation through obstacles above Washington landmarks.
Finally, Trump Savings Tycoon has players catch money to fill children’s Trump Accounts, the administration-backed savings accounts that include a $1,000 government contribution for eligible children born during Trump’s term.
The arcade’s unusual combination of political messaging and nostalgic game design has generated sharply divided responses.
Some social media users praised the games and the White House’s playful digital approach, while others criticized the decision to turn issues such as immigration and deportation into arcade entertainment.
More games could also be on the way. The official arcade page currently contains an additional slot marked “Coming Soon”, accompanied by the message “A new adventure awaits.”
