Yes, there is indeed such an option available where you can replace your ship’s name with a cooler one.
From the very start of the game, players collect ships through rewards, buying from merchants, or stealing, and they often have a favorite one. How to Rename Your Ship in Starfield
Renaming your ships in Starfield is a very easy task, and you can do it right after the start of the game. At first, you will need to find a Ship Technician who will carry out the task for you. Ship Technicians are specialized to modify and look after damages in your ship. They are common around the Settled Systems and are found in almost every major city and station.
For your convenience, you can find a Ship Technician at New Atlantis, jemmision. After you have found a Ship Technician, interact with them and select the “Modify your ship” option. After that, you will have to select a series of options.
- Select “Ship Builder“.
- Click on “Flight Check.”
- Then, choose the “Rename” option after you have typed out your desired name for your ship.
And there, you have your own customized name for your ship. You can change the names no matter how many times you want, completely free of cost.
