So it would be best to keep your spacesuit on when exploring in the sky. But it would be awkward to keep wearing your spacesuit and helmet when others roam in casual outfits when you are in crowded cities. You can hide your spacesuit instead of unequipping it. How to Hide Your Spacesuit in Starfield
Go to your inventory, select spacesuits, and press the button set for “HIDE SPACESUITS IN SETTLEMENTS“. This will automatically hide your spacesuit without the need to unequip it. If you want to put back on the spacesuit, go to your inventory again, select spacesuits, and press the button set for “SHOW SPACESUITS IN SETTLEMENTS” .
Sometimes, you will encounter some breathable areas where you won’t need to keep your helmet on. You can show your face during conversations with the NPCs. So, if you want to keep the spacesuit on but only remove the helmet, then go to the helmet section and press the control set for ” HIDE HELMET IN BREATHABLE AREA” . When you are done, you may want to put back on the helmet for proper protection. For that, again, go to your inventory, select spacesuits, and press the button set for “SHOW SPACESUITS IN SETTLEMENTS“.
