Bethesda Games’ highly anticipated RPG Starfield has gained quite a positive response from the community. The players are happy with the massive universe and the mysteries it holds inside it. As they keep on exploring these mysteries of space, they can also perform several activities like building their ship and outpost, mining resources, and crafting their items in Starfield.

But the game is not flawless. There are certain bugs in the game that can affect the space exploration experience of the players. One such bug is the Audio Cutting Out error in Starfield. Bethesda has yet to release a hotfix for this issue, but don’t worry. We have got you covered. Today, we will look at potential ways to fix the Audio Cutting Out error in Starfield.

How To Fix Audio Cutting Out Error

Starfield does require good specs to run smoothly. The minimum requirement for the game is not so minimum after all. After going through the internet, we have devised some potential fixes for the problem.

Install the Game on SSD

Many believe installing the game on an HDD might have caused Starfield’s Audio Cutting Out error. This can be fixed easily by installing the game on your internal SSD. Ensure your SSD has at least 128 GB of free space for the game. If you reinstall the game, uninstall it first from HDD and install it on your SSD.

In-Game Audio Settings

From your in-game audio settings, disable Dynamic Range Compression. Then go to the audio output option and change it to Stereo from Surround. Once you are done, save your changes. This might help you to fix the Audio Cutting Out Error.

Update Audio and Graphics Drivers

As a rule of thumb, you should always keep all your PC drivers up to date to ensure proper operation of the programs on your computer. If you haven’t updated your audio drivers recently, try to update it and see if it fixed the issue. Go to Device Manager from the Control Panel to update your audio driver. Select the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers option and update all the drivers.

Once you update the audio drivers, head over to AMD or Nvidia Graphics Control Centre and update all the graphics drivers.

Verify the Integrity of Game Files

If you have installed the game from Steam, verifying the integrity of game files from the Steam menu can be helpful to fix the Audio Cutting Out error. Go to your Steam Library and right-click on the game. Choose Properties and then go to the Local Files menu. From there, click “Verify integrity of game files.” Steam will then proceed with the verification process and fix any problems. This may take some time, so be patient.

Turn On High-Performance Mode

Turning your PC’s power to High-Performance Mode can significantly improve your gaming experience. Search Power and sleep settings from your Windows Search bar. Enter the settings menu and click Additional Power Settings; choose High Performance from there. Now, go to Display Settings and click Graphics Settings. Click on Browse and then add Starfield. Click Starfield, then Options, and then again choose High Performance.
