Find and stack leads with ease!
Crafting and upgrading are a must in Starfield to progress through the storyline. For that, finding the right resources and keeping their availability is required. One such common metal resource in the Settled systems is Lead(PB). The metal is found in abundance across the galaxies and is crucial for building outposts and crafting equipment.
Lead is found from the very start of the game and can be acquired easily through enemy loots and cutting rocks. But as you progress through the game, you’ll need much more of this metal. So, picking up loots or getting them using cutters won’t help you clear up missions. So this guide will present to you the best places and ways to find lead in Starfield in the most abundance.
How to Find Lead in Starfield
Finding Lead is an effortless job in Starfield; the Easiest way to find lead is to locate planets with the metal present in them. Scan planets for lead and then land in them. After that, use your scanner to look for places with the metal and then mine the resources using your cutter. But that is a lengthy job, and you can only stack much in this process. You can also purchase Leads from merchant shops in New Atlantis, Neon, and Akila City. They also provide the metal in small batches.

Another way of finding Lead is by extracting them from an outpost. That way, you can find and farm the metal in abundance. At first, search for a planet that has a considerable amount of lead. Jemison, Alpha Centauri, is the best planet for mining lead. Then land on the planet and use your scanner to locate a suitable place abundant with lead (the scanner screen will show a ‘pb’ indication). After finding the spot, put an Outpost beacon there. Then, build an extractor on the site, which will gradually start mining out lead for you. This way, you’ll be able to get a constant supply of lead.
