Chems in Starfield Explained
Chems are consumables the players can take in-game to gain temporary boosts. Though it can be hard to collect all the required ingredients to craft chems, these consumables can be extremely helpful for the players, especially in the late game when they will be required to fight some hard enemies or complete some challenging tasks.
How to Craft Chems
Players must collect the required ingredients first to unlock recipes if they want to craft chems. This can be pretty tough for players. However, they will find their required ingredients comparatively more manageable as they level up and perform enough research. Moreover, you will also need to gain enough Pharmacology and Chemistry skills (under the Science skill tree) to craft anything from the Pharmaceutical Lab. Better skills will result in you completing more research projects, thus unlocking new chemical recipes.
To craft chems, you need a Pharmaceutical Lab. The Pharmaceutical Lab is located in The Lodge. Use the Pharmaceutical Lab to view the crafting window—the crafting menu shows which recipes are available based on your or your ship’s inventory. Select the recipe you want, then choose ‘Craft’ to craft that chem.
