Here is how long it might take you to beat Starfield.

Starfield is the latest action RPG by renowned developer Bethesda Studios. The game has already been nominated for The Game Award for Most Anticipated Game 2023 and is most likely to win it. The game features a lot of in-game elements, which the players need to discover throughout the game. The most notable among them are the 1,000+ planets in the game.

Starfield features four main locations in the game for the players to explore. Players will need to roam around these locations and complete a lot of side quests alongside the main quests of the game. According to the developers, Starfield has over 20% more quests than other Bethesda titles like Skyrim and Fallout.

How Long to Beat Starfield

During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, the producer of the game, Todd Howard, gave an estimate that players would need 30–40 hours to complete the main quests of the game. However, it is still an estimate, and no one can exactly say how much time it would take to finish.

However, as already mentioned above, Starfield also features tons of side quests to be completed by the players. If you are a completionist and are looking to finish every quest in the game, it might take you four or five times more time to complete the game. In an interview during Gamescom 2023, the Senior Vice President of Bethesda Studios, Pete Hines, shared, “I’m at 150–160 hours on my current playthrough, and I haven’t even come close.” “There’s so much stuff I have intentionally not done. No matter how you want to play, there is so much for you to do in this game,” he added.

As we cannot give you any specific amount of time, based on the comments made by the developers, it can be understood that completing Starfield, including all the explorable aspects, would take you around 200 hours. But if you have played other Bethesda titles before, you would definitely know that putting in these many hours behind Bethesda’s biggest project so far would most likely be worth it.
